Derby has a lot going on.
It's also a fabulous place to live and work.
With industrial giants like Rolls Royce, Toyota and Bombardier, the population of Derby is ever changing, growing and diverse in nature.
Derby has a full range of homes for the full spectrum of budgets, requirements and lifestyles. From exclusive city living, country cottages, family homes and first time buyer properties, Derby caters for all. It's accessible, fast roads in and out connect you to other cities and direct trainlines down to London mean Derby is great for commuters.
But all of this sounds like every other growing city in England. Lets talk about Derby in a little more detail.
There are many suburbs in Derby that mean you are spoilt for choice. Each has shopping areas, supermarkets and enterntainment establishments meaning you can choose to stay local, or venture into town. Areas like Mickleover , Mackworth and Allestree are perfect for settling a family or looking for property with easy access to the A38. Spondon and Chaddesden again are great for the A52 and areas more out of town like Hilton although feel like country living are only a short hop to the city.
Derby city, with it's ever changing skyline boasts home to the INTU centre. A shopping centre with everything under one roof. Clothes shops like Zara, All Saints and H&M settle next to eating spots like Wagamamas, Carluccios and Zizzi. You can get everything you need in the INTU centre, many national retailers rub shoulders with independents and with differeing areas including the award winning cathedral quarter you can shop inside or outsie to your hearts content.
Cinemas, theatre, dinner out, bustling street fesitvals like Derby live are a great way to fill your weekends and with so much available, free green space like Markeaton Park, Allestree Park and Darley park, a walk in the sun or run ou with the dog feels like green space and fresh air for ever.
Derby has fine Schools. Ecclesborne, Derby High Murray Park and Landua Forte cater for many at secondary school age and primaries are available in pretty much every suburb. The incredible Derby college is great as a sixth form alternative and Derby University has a fabulous reputation.
It's worth checking out what properties are available in the city. Don't forget the fabulous Peak District is only minutes away with it's rolling hills, beautiful valleys and wonderfully inviting country pubs. Ashbourne, 'The gateway to the peaks' accomodates the beautiful tissington trail and one of the most photographed views, the sunrise over the hope valley is a great day out.
