A bustling and busy suburb of Derby sitting alongside the A6.

An easy drive-up Duffield road from Derby City Centre or out towards the University of Derby along Kedleston Road puts you into a wonderful suburb of Derby Called Allestree. 
Bordering the beautiful and multi use Markeaton Park, at turn up Birchover way and you reach the shopping centre of Allestree, The Park Farm Centre. A great range of independent and franchise shops means pretty much everything you need can be purchased.

Allestree has the full range of homes to buy. Fabulous newer properties spring up on the peripherals and older houses often come up for sale with everything from auction and buy to let investments through to family homes, bungalows and flats of all types.

Allestree plays home to the Woodlands school. Various primary schools and the large catholic school, Saint Benedicts. Allestree border Darley Abby with its mills steeped in history, its wonderful parklands with the river Derwent running down from the Weir off on it’s winding journey through into town. Darley Abbey can be the perfect place to relax of a sunday and watch a summers cricket match or get a breath of bracing fresh air on a clean, clear and crisp winters day.

Follow up the A6 through Allestree and you are quickly in the countryside with a gentle and easy drive through Duffield and Belper, further up into the peak district hitting ‘the seaside’ town of Matlock bath, Up into Bakwell or a day out to visit the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire at Chatsworth house! 

Allestree also sits next to Quarndon. A great drive through some truly fabulous, huge houses full of wonder. Kedleston can be a stones throw (with a good arm and the wind in the right direction) from Allestree and plays home to the golf Club. An 18 hole Parkland course with members and social members of all abilities. We can’t mention Kedleston without mentioning Kedleston hall. A stately home, steeped in history and part of the National Trusts care.
